Abigails Cottage is a thatched terraced cottage in the heart of the village and dates back in parts to the 12th Century.
The accommodation comprises an entrance hall wide enough for buggys etc.,
a large sitting room/dining room with an inglenook fireplace complete with woodburning stove,
a modern fitted kitchen breakfast room with a door to the garden.
There is a television, video & stereo system.
The kitchen has dishwasher, microwave and washing machine.
There is a downstairs lavatory.
There is also a small study with books, maps and some games & toys.
Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms, 2 doubles plus 1 bedroom with large bunk beds
(cot available) and a bathroom. The heating is night storage radiators
and the very effective woodburning stove.
The garden is child/dog proof and is approx. 40’ x 25’.
CHULMLEIGH is equal distance from both South and North coasts
and very accessible to Exmoor.
The village itself is set on top of a hill and there are some good walks out
and back into the village. There are 3 pubs all serving good food,
a village shop, Dairy, Bakery, Butcher, Post Office and a part time Lloyds bank,
Antique Shop and a few other small shops. Eggesford Garden Centre is local and very good.
There is horse riding in the village and a short 18 hole golf course
( a stones throw behind the cottage). Close by is a trout farm for fresh & smoked trout.
South Molton is a medium size town with a fun market, Pine, Antique shops plus a Supermarket, banks and the Honey Farm.
